Hello everyone! Did you all enjoy Stacey's blog post yesterday? I think she did a fabulous job!

As you may know from twitter and facebook, the lovely TV presenter and I'm A Celeb contestant Alison Hammond came down to HQ and picked out her top 10 items that she loved (which then turned into a top 25). Here she is saying hello:

The rest of the video is being edited, but I thought I'd share a sneak peek of some of her absolute faves... let me know what you think of her choices!

Alison with our £35 Limited Collection Rose Trim tunic - stunning!

With the coral version of our £16 drape tunic, which she adored.

Alison LOVED this - our snake print tunic with chiffon sleeves for £22, and she looked great when she tried it on!

Our animal print ruffle maxi (£30) was also a huge hit with Alison!

Have a WILD 2011!

Hello everyone! I really hope you all had a wonderful festive season, and a fabulous new year! Are you New Year’s resolutions still going strong? Hope so, you can do it, ladies!

One of my favourite resolutions is to be more daring with my clothing choices and trying things I wouldn’t normally, and it’s something I think all of you can do to give yourself a huge confidence boost. As you must already know it’s January sales time, which in my book is a perfect opportunity to purchase those things you loved the look of but weren’t sure whether the risk was worth the money.

Here are my favourite Yours Clothing Sales picks – can you guess the theme?

Animal Print Tunic, £20
Animal Print One Shoulder Tunic, £20
Snake Print Jumpsuit, £10
Grey & Blue Gather Front Tunic, £15
Animal Print Shimmer Top, £20

Yes, it’s animal print! Animal print was a huge trend in 2010, and judging by the runway it doesn’t look to be going anywhere any time soon. Embracing leopard’s spots might be scary for some – but you don’t have to go full on Bet Lynch, any of these pieces could be balanced out with solid colour accessories and dressed down with leggings and cardis.

If you’re still after something a bit more casual, then a leopard motif t-shirt is a great bet with some jeans and boots. There’s a burnt out option or a diamante option for those of you who love your bling. You could even get both, since they’re £5 each – bargain!

Let me know what you’re buying in the sales, and perhaps send us your pictures!

Love as always, and here’s to a fabulous and WILD new year!

Floral Tunics are my spring pick!

I’ll admit that I love to shop. I love picking up a bargain that is * just * what I’m looking for – the right colours, styles and fabrics for the right price. This is why I love working at Yours Clothing, every day I can look over the products we sell and secretly add them to my must-have list in my head!

Yours Clothing is different from every other retailer as the design of the clothes we sell are perfect for curvaceous girlies, or a ‘Buxom Babe’!!

With the weather as unpredictable as it is, tunics are a great way of creating layers to keep warm or staying decent stripping off if you get a tad warm in the office. They typically are cut longer than a normal top and shorter than a dress. This means hips are definitely covered and possibly bottoms too if you'd rather show off the shape of your pins.

For spring, make sure you kit out your wardrobe with beautiful, feminine prints like this Rose print tunic (see pictured left) as not only is it bang on trend, it’s on sale too, reduced from £20 to just a fiver. At this price this tunic won’t be around for long so get in there quickly if you’re a size 18, 20 or 22!

My absolute FAVOURITE floral tunic is this stunning black and red rose print tunic (pictured top right). The pleats and buttons around the neckline are subtle touches that draw the eye around your body and will go with leggings, jeans or black trousers, meaning it is a suitable outfit for work, drinks with the girls or meeting the boyfriend’s parents for Sunday dinner. Talk about versatility, I’ve got mine!

Hey girl, do you wanna be a rock star?

If over the Christmas period you’ve been getting into guitar hero and rockband with boyfriends, brothers and buddies, you’ll be glad to hear that you can adapt your look
to fit in with the whole rock star lifestyle you’re getting so accustomed to.

Luckily, the rock chick look has remained popular throughout the autumn and into winter collections so don’t be afraid to experiment with leather, studs and make up. We have a
black bomber jacket that fits the bill perfectly, and now that it has been reduced to £25 you really will find it hard to say no to ‘rock chic’.

How can you look as good as the rock goddesses on TV? You make a visit to Yours Clothing and read my tips! Pop on your favourite skinny jeans, a pair of knee high boots and this immensely popular
t-shirt/waistcoat and with the right make up and accessories, you will rock any party. Be quick though, stocks are low and with customer feedback saying it’s the right style, the right material and the right price, you need to get a wriggle on if you want to snap up this must-have item.
I will let you into a little secret, this
limited collection tunic is my favourite item of all! Teamed with wet look leggings or jeans and heels, you really will look every inch the rock goddess and give Kate Moss a run for her money! At £25 it’s cheap at twice the price so if we don’t have your size today, don’t worry, click on the ‘let me know’ button and we’ll email you know as soon as we get it back in stock.

Accessorise your rock look with plenty of smoky eye makeup and a blazer jacket or bomber jacket. Alternatively, put your hair up and wear sparkly earrings to glam up your outfit for the evening. Don’t forget your confident attitude - the rock chick look isn’t for girls who want to fade into the background!

Global Traveler – A Plus Size Spring Trend!

Is it me or has this winter dragged on longer than usual? It seems that everything has come to a standstill as way of protest against the miserable weather and dark evenings. Well I’m pleased to be the bearer of good news…at last things seem to be cheering up – not the climate quite yet but certainly the fashion world is in full bloom. As promised last week, here begins a guide to the hottest trends for Spring/Summer 09….

GLOBAL TRAVELER

The ‘global traveler’ trend is all about taking inspiration from a mix of cultures and styles; combining a variety of patterns and textures in order to create an eclectic, feminine look. Key to this style are ethnic prints, cool cottons and loose chiffon. Colours include purples and fuchsias with jade and lime accents set against backgrounds of black grey and denim. Monochrome also features but in muted tones. Paisley prints are often used to add impact and colour. Shape is also important. ‘Loose’ and ‘Skimming’ are the key words here. Forget restrictive, tight clothes, ‘global travelers’ like to feel comfortable and cool.

Perhaps the best aspect of this pretty trend is its accessibility. Us curvy girls can embrace the styling while enjoying ultra-flattering fabrics and prints. Long skimming patterned tunics teamed with jeans or leggings are a great way to show off the style in comfort and with confidence. The black purple and lilac mix and match print tunic (left) for instance combines all the colours and examples of the ‘global traveler’ fashion with a figure-enhancing shape.

For more of an evening look, this tunic (right) is a great example. The black and cream chiffon layer tunic instantly keeps it feminine and the embroidered detail catches the feel of the look perfectly. Texture and shape are key to ensuring that this piece is flattering as well as stylish for plus-size girls.
When looking to add some ‘global traveler’ into your wardrobe, remember to look for; Texture, Pattern, Colour and Shape to add an exotic twist to your style this spring…and without the costly plane ticket!

Next Month it's there's an 80's revival heading our way, keep posted!
