Gloves, belts and bags - oh my!

Hello everyone! Can you believe the turn our weather has taken? I keep popping out to sit in the sunshine, it's wonderful!

I'm also really excited by the new accessories coming in from Yours' warehouse, and I've picked out my favourites here:

I just adore them all! Chic, ladylike and colourful - what's not to love? The colour pop leather gloves are genuine leather and come in three sizes, so you can be guaranteed a great fit. The studded bow belt is fab, a great bet to give the illusion of a nipped-in waist with your party dresses! The Chanel-esque quilted bag is a timeless classic, with both a comfortable shoulder fit and big enough to hold all your essentials. But my favourite thing about these accessories? The price, of course: everything is only £15 and under!

I hope you love this selection as much as I do. What will you be purchasing? Let me know on facebook or twitter!

Yours Clothing Press round up!

Hello everyone, did you have a wonderful weekend? We've ended up reducing 100s more items on our mega sale - there's clothes on there for £3 which is just plain silly, what are you waiting for?

We've been featured in some more great press this week so I just had to share it all with you! Here goes...

The Daily Mirror felt our cream frill blouse (£22) is perfect for spring and summer's sheer fabric trend!

Take It Easy magazine love our military bolero (£20 in our sale) so much they included it in their jacket round up - and clearly you love it too, as there's not many left!

Now magazine thought our oval drop sequin earrings (£6) set off their funky jumpsuit outfit...

More magazine included our £35 apricot pearl embellished shift (which I wore in the last blog post) in their nude dresses feature!

And finally the lovely people at Best magazine put together a whole outfit, featuring our smudge print shrug (£18); black wash skinny jean (£24); gold ring detail earrings (£5); and our chunky animal stretch bracelet (£6) - which comes to a total of 50 quid! Great job, Best!

What do you think peeps? Keep your eyes peeled for more press coverage soon! In the meantime if you have any comments you can comment here, tweet me or leave a message on Yours' facebook page. Look forward to chatting with you!

Lots of love,

Spot the Difference - Yours vs Mulberry!

Hi everyone! Have you seen our fab deals this week? We first offered 20% off our sale dresses, which proved so popular we've now extended the offer to our sale knitwear and sale coats/jackets! We do like to spoil you...

As you probably know, Mulberry, like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, are one of those bag brands that are synonymous with luxury - having one of their bags is almost like a status symbol, and their designs are emulated no end on the high street!

This week I noticed one of our new shoulder bags bears more than a passing resemblance to Mulberry's Bayswater shoulder bag...

Now I'm not attempting to pull wool over your eyes - of course there is a vast difference in fabrics, construction, etc. But if you wanted the smart, understated Mulberry look without spending an entire month's wages, then you could do a lot worse than to buy Yours' Black Tote Bag for £12!

What do you think? Let me know by leaving a comment!

The Power of Accessories!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re having an awesome Friday? As some of you might have seen, Yours Clothing had a great accessories sale on for a couple of days this week. In my opinion accessories are a godsend to us plus size fashionistas, as it can drastically change any look. Wanna see how? Here are three different looks based around the same basics:

Black Scoop Neck Top £14

Indigo Twill Skinny Jean £18

I mean, it’s a lovely casual outfit, but it’s crying out for a spruce up, don’t you think? So here are my picks:

Beige Polka Dot Scarf £6
Tan Tassell Bag £12
Black Foral Buckle Belt £10
Animal Print Chiffon Corsage £4

This is a great dressed down, bohemian kind of look. Fringing is a huge trend for this summer, so Yours’ tassel bag is just perfect! And you should know about me and animal print by now...

Grey Pearl Ribbon Bracelet £6
Pewter Zip Corsage Clutch £12
Brown Ruched Velvet Scarf £10
Black Glitter Corset Belt £10

If you were stuck on what to wear out for dinner with your girly friends (and maybe a few cocktails!), I think a hint of glitter in the belt and the lovely feel of velvet dresses up this outfit just the right amount!

Double Buckle Heart Belt £10
Black Floral Scarf £6
Red Quilted Chain Bag £10

I just love this look – the quilted back is totally retro and cute, and the heart shapes on the best just lends it a really interesting touch.

We’re getting in new, more fabulous accessories all the time, so do keep checking back – and of course I’ll let you know my faves!

Love as always, and have a fab weekend!

Plus Size Sense for Present Buying!

How many times have you received a Christmas or birthday gift which was obviously bought for you with thought and care but just wasn’t your taste? How many times have you wandered the shopping centre on a cold winter’s day desperately trying to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones? I suspect that the answer to both these questions is ‘more than once!’ It’s becoming increasingly difficult as the choice of gifts becomes greater and people’s tastes change from season to season. Forgive me for speculating but I am speaking from experience! As a girl, I love to receive a piece of fashionable clothing or accessory from my friends but more often than not, the item isn’t something I would have chosen. Not wanting to cause offence, we are all likely to accept the gift graciously and wear the item once or twice then condemn it to a lifetime of gathering dust at the back of a wardrobe.

In the present climate of watching our finances and trying to buy sensibly, would it not be wiser to purchase our friends and family gift vouchers for their favourite stores for them to choose the perfect item themselves? Well now you can! If your friends love Yours or if you think they might like an introduction to our latest plus size clothing and accessory collection, then why not spend your money wisely, save your legs and head aching during tedious shopping trips and buy your loved ones gift vouchers. For the first time ever, you can now purchase both in-store and on-line vouchers from www.yoursclothing.co.uk so however you and your friends like to shop, there’s an option for you!
