Celebrity Look: Kate Moss

Hello there peeps, how are we all? Hope you're looking forward to the weekend! It's payday, and while I'm trying to save I may still treat myself to our mega mid-season sale as the prices are just too good!

It's been a while since I've done a celebrity look, and this one's a bit of a shocker - who knew you could emulate Kate Moss' look when plus size? But here's what the UK's no1 model and grown up rock chick wore to the recent W Hotel launch:

I really loved how edgy yet glamorous it was, something Kate is known for! Here's how us plus size ladies can recreate the look at Yours Clothing:

Black dip back shirt,

A little artistic licence here - I've swapped the jacket and shirt around sequin-wise, but I think this is a great look for something cool, modern and edgy - perfect for a night out!

What do you think guys? I'd love to know your thoughts! Perhaps there is a celebrity whose look you'd like me to emulate for you? You can reach me by commenting here, tweeting or leaving a comment on our facebook page. I'd love to hear from you!

Lots of love,

Sleep Stylishly - Yours' Nightwear!

Hello everyone, me again!

First of all I want to let you know about our dedicated sale site, Size Up. It features our clothes at lower prices - and today and tomorrow they're even lower, with an extra 10% off! Make sure you add Size Up on twitter and facebook as well to keep up with all the latest news.

Now we all know Yours Clothing is great for affordable fashion, but some of my fave items from them is their adorable nightwear, which gets better all the time. I thought I'd show you some of my fave outfits...

I just find these so cute and lovely to snuggle in. They're already very girly, but if you prefer something even more feminine, what about our selection of chemises? These three are my favourites:

Left to right:

The great thing with our chemises is that if you simply can't choose, they're all part of our 2 for £15 offer. Does that sounds as good to you as it does to me? I hope so! And if you're after some serious bargains, nightwear is included in Size Up too, with pyjamas for only £6.30!

I'd love to know what you think peeps - let me know here, on twitter or on our Facebook page. Can't wait to chat with you all. :)

Lots of love,

Lauren's Fashion Fixer: Tights

Hey everyone! Hope you're well and looking forward to the weekend! And to all our lovely Irish customers, hope you had a great St Patrick's Day - did you get our special offer in your inbox? Hope you did, as it's still valid today!

When I was younger and a self-proclaimed goth, I used to be absolutely in love with coloured and patterned tights - but as you can imagine, because I was plus sized I could never find any to fit. I remember going to Camden with my friends and staring longingly at the rows of patterned tights... Fast forward 10 years, and Yours have brought out a range of pattered and coloured tights! See peeps, patience definitely *is* a virtue! I'm no longer a goth, but here are some looks I've created - let me know what you think!

I am really so in love with this look. Soft grey is a beautifully delicate colour - plus size women are told they shouldn't wear light colours on their legs, but worn with high heels that elongate the leg they look chic, trendy and pretty!

Shoes, Schuh

The folky floral look is huge on the high street this summer and here's a version you can get almost exclusively at Yours with tights to make your legs really stand out. Simply add a a floppy felt hat and you're ready for a festival!

This is one for all you sexy disco divas! Inspired by the 70s trend that's absolutely huge at the moment, I've added our black leopard print tights for something a little bit different. The tunic is rather short, so if you're a little more modest pair with a black tube skirt underneath.

Well, I hope you liked these looks! Is there anything you'd like me to cover on the blog? Let me know in the comments, tweet me or leave a message on our facebook page. Can't wait to hear from you!

Have a great weekend peeps,

Catwalk Collection's Latest Look: Garden Party!

Hello everyone, hope you had a fantastic weekend!

A few weeks ago we created a new section of the site called Catwalk Collections, dedicated to putting together outfits that reflect the latest trends. Our buyers have styled full outfits to give you plenty of inspiration on how to stay on-trend!

The latest look is Garden Party - an explosion of florals and pretty, ladylike silhouettes. This type of look was all over the catwalks for Spring/Summer '11, as you can see...

Because Yours are not one to ignore a trend, the team have compiled a selection of outfits, enabling you to get the look in your size, and for a lot less! Here are three of my favourite looks:

Lauren's Fashion Fixer: Working Wardrobe

Hello there everyone! Hope you've had a great week so far. Our sale is still going strong, with 100s more reductions added and prices from only £3!

Earlier this week, Becca-Jane asked me on our facebook page about ideas for office and workwear outfits. Later this season we are actually getting in tailored workwear, including full suits! But in the meantime, here are a few ideas for workwear based on what is already available at Yours Clothing.

This is a great smart yet casual look for the office, with a little bit of colour thrown in, and lots of flattering shapes.
White button up shirt, £18
Black peg leg trousers, £22

A simple white shirt and trousers is an absolute office classic. Simple yet chic. And together they'll only cost you £40!

Cream 2 in 1 pussybow blouse dress, £35
Heart seam tights, £8
Black plait detail tote bag, £20
Polka dot corsage, £4

This look is one for you more adventurous ladies - I have to say it's my personal favourite. The dress is incredibly flattering although take note that you'll need a vest underneath, as the shirt is sheer!

Hope you like these looks. I'll revisit work wear once we get our fabulous tailored pieces in, which I know you'll just love!

Inspirational Plus Size Women

Hello everyone, hope you're having a great week so far! We're seeing our sale continue to grow with more and more reductions every day - so what are you waiting for?

Today is International Women's Day, a day to celebrate the achievements of women. 2011 marks the 100th anniversary, so it's extra special! Because this is a plus size fashion blog I won't delve too much into political women; instead, I'd like to celebrate women in the public eye who are resolutely plus size, and who haven't buckled in to pressure to lose weight. These fine women prove you can be talented, successful, healthy and stylish at ANY size...

Dawn French - what a woman! For over 20 years she's been a superstar comedienne, a sexpot vicar and most recently a celebrated author. The entire time she has not bowed to pressure to lose weight, remaining beautiful, elegant and charming. A truly inspirational plus size woman.

Ella Smith is a young UK actress best known for starring in the Neil LaBute play "Fat Pig" (I know, I know - but the play was supposed to be positive!) opposite Robert Webb. She first came to my attention in a TV drama where she played a sultry sex goddess in a bizarre town. The show itself wasn't very good, but seeing a beautiful woman be portrayed as desireable is almost unheard of on TV. Go Ella!

Gabourey Sidibe was nominated for an Oscar last year for her role as Precious in the film of the same name - since then, her upbeat attitude towards life and her body has been a huge inspiration for women of all sizes over the world. "I learned to love myself, because I sleep with myself every night and I wake up with myself every morning, and if I don’t like myself, there’s no reason to even live the life."

Beth Ditto... Since the UK press took notice of her, her dress sense has completely divided opinion. But no matter what you think of her clothing choices, she has remained resolutely herself even though she's mixed with notorious fat-haters such as Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld and tackled lots of tabloid abuse, something I absolutely respect her for.

Amber Riley has been a huge success story since playing Mercedes in Glee, and she is probably the best dressed plus size star right now. Her looks at both the Golden Globes and the Grammys were absolute perfection, and her recent editorial for Essence magazine is stunning!

Amber Riley's New Directions team-mate Ashley Fink is new to Glee but has caused a huge stir as sassy Lauren - and if reports from the US are anything to go by, apparently she gets herself a very hot admirer in the future! Ashley has been accompanying Chris Colfer (Kurt) to various awards shows looking beautiful and elegant -always affirming to see genuinely plus size women looking beautiful on the red carpet.

Ruth Jones has become a little bit of a national treasure since writing and starring in Gavin & Stacey as Stacey's bolshy mate Nessa, and recently played the late, great Hattie Jacques. Ruth has always remained glamorous yet down the earth in her 15 year career, concentrating on acting, writing and producing rather than losing weight to get more parts. And it's paid off, her career is going from strength to strength!

Ah, Adele. What a superstar! She is the darling of the music industry both in the UK and US and it makes sense because she has the most beautiful voice, and writes fantastic songs. Like Beth, she's appeared in Vogue and had Anna Wintour herself fall in love with her - amazing really, when you consider this is the woman who requires most celebrities to lose weight before appearing in the magazine - and still remains true to herself, because her music is more important than her looks.

Who you consider an inspirational plus size woman? Is there anyone I've missed? Let me know who you're most inspired by! You can comment here, tweet me or leave a comment on the Yours Clothing facebook page. Can't wait to hear your feedback!

Lots of love,
