Plus size versions of SS12 fashion - already!

Hey my lovelies! Still super happy with this beautiful weather we're having in the UK! And is it payday for anyone else? We've got free UK standard delivery on orders over £50 with the code "delfree" this weekend as a little treat for you. But what to buy? Well, I've got some inspiration for you...

If you've been keeping up on fashion news, you'll know September is one of the most important months in the calendar! With New York, London, Milan and Paris all showcasing the hottest trends and looks for next summer, I figured why wait? Especially when there are some similar items still available in plus sizes here at Yours Clothing! You may remember my Rebecca Minkoff post, but here are even more! Have a peek:

Anna Sui's cute and kitsch retro look makes a feature of a huge bow - we've got a stunning selection of t-shirts with bow motifs for a similar feel!

And if bows aren't your thing, how about showering yourself in hearts instead with this Anna Sui-esque print tunic? Team with statement accessories for an off kilter, fun outfit!

Dolce & Gabbana were all about ladylike florals (and a few vegetables, too!), and the elegant purple blooms can be found on our Limited Collection slinky maxi dress.

Scottish boy wonder Jonathan Saunders is a revelation with his dainty, ladylike designs, and a lucky few of you can grab this lookalike prom dress from our sale - only a few sizes left, so hurry!

And finally, for those of you who love show-stopping brights, our De Stijl inspired tunic has the Barbie pinks and electric blues that are just like Nanette Lepore's neon summer collection!

Well I hope this has been a fun post for you all. I'd love to know your thoughts, and if you have any ideas for content let me know on facebook or twitter! Can't wait to hear from you.

Have a super weekend everyone xx

Gloves, belts and bags - oh my!

Hello everyone! Can you believe the turn our weather has taken? I keep popping out to sit in the sunshine, it's wonderful!

I'm also really excited by the new accessories coming in from Yours' warehouse, and I've picked out my favourites here:

I just adore them all! Chic, ladylike and colourful - what's not to love? The colour pop leather gloves are genuine leather and come in three sizes, so you can be guaranteed a great fit. The studded bow belt is fab, a great bet to give the illusion of a nipped-in waist with your party dresses! The Chanel-esque quilted bag is a timeless classic, with both a comfortable shoulder fit and big enough to hold all your essentials. But my favourite thing about these accessories? The price, of course: everything is only £15 and under!

I hope you love this selection as much as I do. What will you be purchasing? Let me know on facebook or twitter!

First up is Becky, who looks great in our stripe t-shirt from earlier this year.

Carmen looks cute as a button in her paisley dress and cardigan.

Charlotte always looks great, and she balances her sugar sweet outfit with our edgy studded tights.

Charlotte also looks fabulous in our grey military dress. What a cutie!

Dawn's daughter wore our blue maxi dress for a wedding and is simply stunning.

La Diva delle Curve goes for a dressed down look in our pirate shorts but still appears fabulous!

Elina and Taisija are huge fans of yours, whether it's our tribal print jumpsuit and maxi...

...Or our casual t-shirts and jeggings!

This is such a lovely photo of Karen! She's wearing our peacock maxi dress, and customised some pretty straps, too!

Nadia always looks adorable and she does it again with the help of our jeggings.

Rosie pulls off a kitsch indie vibe with our white lace tunic, I think she looks super!

And finally, here is Sefi in full on glamourpuss mode. How fabulous does she look in our black evening dress? Wow!

Which look is your favourite? Would love to hear your thoughts. And if you have any photos of yourself in Yours Clothing, send them to us via facebook or twitter, and you can be featured here on the blog!

An SS12 look for Winter!

Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed yesterday's post about our fabulous coats and jackets that are arriving this autumn. Of course, we're still offering you mega bargains on our summer stock, with new reductions and an extra 10% off our high summer sale!

While we're just getting around to autumn and winter, fashion is always a step ahead - the past week all of New York has been on fashion alert, and London Fashion Week begins today, predicting trends for next spring and summer!

That said, I noticed a great outfit in US designer Rebecca Minkoff's spring and summer collection that could be great for now - and luckily, you can get a similar look at Yours! Check it out:

Clockwise from top left: Chocolate Scarf, £6; Floral Tunic, £22; Brown Buckle Cross Body Bag, £12; Aztec Stretch Bracelet, £8; Brown Suedette Lace Wedges, £30 (COMING SOON)

All this alone might leave you a bit chilly, especially when the sun goes down! I reckon it'd look just as good paired with leggings and one of our gorgeous cardigans to keep you wrapped up warm.

Hope you enjoyed this look, and have a fabulous weekend!

Autumn outerwear

Hey guys! How are you? Have you seen we've added EVEN MORE reductions to our sale, with an extra 10% off? Get your bargains while stocks last!

As well as our fabulous summer sale, we haven't ignored your autumn needs now the leaves are falling and there's a chill in the air. And you know what this means... jackets and coats! We have some fab options on the website already available. Here are three of my absolute favourites...

All three of these coats are versatile and on trend - the parka has an elasticated waist to cinch you in, and I think the studs on the military jacket are so cool. The animal mac is definitely one for you glamourpusses!

If these three don't tickle your fancy, then here's an exclusive sneak peek as what'll be arriving at Yours throughout September and October, with the aim to keep you stylishly warm. I can't WAIT!

What do you think of the selection? I have my eye on the cape and fake fur trim coat, definitely! Register your interest on our Coming Soon page so you don't miss out when they become available!

Until next time...

My Style, Yours Style!

Hello all, hope you're having a fabulous Friday!

It's been a while since I've showcased my own Yours outfit here on the blog, but I thought I'd show you what I'm wearing today.

Buttoned up shirts have been on trend for a while now, with versions all over the high street. I absolutely love the edgy, androgynous look that it provides. When I saw Yours had a plus size version I of course snapped it right up! Mine is a size 22 and it's made of jersey, so feels really comfortable. I added some silver collar tips for something a little different to a necklace. I really like how it looks!

I'm also completely in love with Yours' new slash tights, and I've featured them on the blog before. Our suspender tights are also amazing, but I know some of you might be wary of wearing skirts or shorts short enough to show the detail. The good news is, these slash ones go all the way down to your toes: I wore a red knee-length pencil skirt and it still looks fab!

What do you think of this outfit? I'm sure next time I'll be back to my usual girly ensembles!

Mix & Match Winter's Brights

Hello everyone!

As Britain starts to wrap up warm with the oncoming winter, the one thing we've got to look forward to (apart from Christmas!) is the gorgeous fashion. Back in February designers were sending looks down the runway that were going to be copied as soon as the leaves started falling. As well as the gothic, 40's and menswear trends, there was a veritable riot of colour...

This year's colour blocking trend repeated, but this time all grown up - from summer's neon hues to jewel tones clashing and complimenting with equal measure this autumn and winter.

Most plus size women feel they won't get a chance to try out this trend, since most plus size shops are stocked full of blacks. But not here at Yours! We want to give you the choice to be as bright as you want to be!

What do you think of this colourful and kooky trend? Will you be experimenting with colour this winter or sticking to faithful black?

Hard to believe that spring and summer fashion week begins very soon, with everyone predicting what we'll wear next year!

Accentuate Your Bust!

Hi everyone!

Hope you had a fab weekend, and that those of you in the US had a fun Labour Day! For our UK peeps, we've got free standard delivery today on orders over £50 - make sure you pop in the code FREEDEL at the checkout. :)

I wanted to continue talking about accentuating the parts of your body you like. A lot of fashion advice for plus size women is about "flattering" the body. That's perfectly fine of course, but with all the talk of "hiding", "minimising", and "streamlining", it makes you feel as though women over a size 16 have nothing worth being proud of. And that's simply not true, is it?

Last week, I showcased some fantastic Yours hosiery that is great for showing off your shapely pins. This week, it's all about the bust!

Those of you who are lucky to have a larger bust and are confident enough to show them off, these tunics are made for you! Scoop and square necks are always great for larger busts as they both accentuate and minimise, due to the expanse of flesh on show between the bosom and the neck. Wrap styles are also fantastic for making your cleavage look great - our cobalt evening dress does so while remaining classy and elegant.

When you want to show off your ample curves, empire waists that sit just under the bust are fabulous. But another great style is a fitted bodice, like in our brown and black ditsy print dress that shows off your upper half and creates a perfect hourglass silhouette.

Another big plus in these picks is the thick straps/sleeves mean that a busty woman's best friend, her well supporting bra, is fully covered!

Hope you enjoyed this blog post, ladies. Stick around for more tips and fashion news!

The Fatshionistas: Kirsty of Fatty Unbound Q&A

I think plus size fashion/fatshion bloggers are such a wonderful resource for all women when it comes to accepting your body as is or experimenting more with fashion. Just seeing someone with a similar body to you - or a body that society tells you is wrong, and needs to be covered - playing around with fashion and taking risks, has certainly helped me to feel better about myself.

While everyone is at different stages in their self-confidence, bloggers such as Kirsty of Fatty Unbound is 100% confident. Her incredible style and positive message led her to be interviewed by Cherry Healey for Cherry's Body Dilemmas on BBC3, which brought the acceptance message to the mainstream. Her section comes around 25 minutes in, and it's so refreshing to see her talk frankly about her experience as a fat woman.

Kirsty is a vintage and car boot sale addict, and loves a fashion bargain. Happily for us, she's also a fan of Yours Clothing! I got to do a mini q&a with her, and here's what she has to say:

You recently were featured on BBC3, talking about fat acceptance with Cherry Healey. How did you find the experience and what was the response like?
Thank you! Overall, it's been a really good experience for me - it's really opened my eyes up to how little fat acceptance talk there is in the media, and how important it is to have that dialogue out there. The amount of emails I've had has been really overwhelming, and it's really hard to have to hear that so many people are facing oppression because of their bodies.

What do you think of Yours Clothing? I know you're a huge bargain hunter, and so are we!
I think Yours is great! It's both reasonably priced and unlike most plus size brands, I think the quality is actually good - no charging £50 for a badly made top!

Do you have any favourite Yours items on the site?
I'm still in hyper shock that you're stocking suspender tights! I feel like I've been waiting forever for a chance to own a pair of those. Other bits I like include these beauts: cropped chino trousers which would look great for a preppy look with a nice button up shirt, and this sheer top which I've been ogling for ages to pair with some skinny jeans and boots.

What fashion advice would you give our lovely Yours customers?
Don't listen to what anyone else tells you about what you can and can't wear - wear the clothes that you feel comfortable and empowered in, and that make you feel good in your body. I don't really follow fashion rules or trends because I find them wayyy too hard to keep up with, but I just try and have fun with clothes.

You can keep up to date with Kirsty's musings, advice and outfits at fattyunbound.blogspot.com.

Hope you have a fab weekend all,

Lauren xx
