Dotty about dots!

Polka dots are one print that never seems to go out of fashion, and just a little bit of dottiness in your wardrobe can really make a difference. While they come in a variety of different colours, my favourite is still the classic monochrome look - you just can't go wrong!

It seems Yours share my obsession as every day new cute and kooky polka dotted items have made their way on to the site. Here are some of my absolute best items available right now:

I love that there are so many different designs with polka dots, there's something for everyone no matter your taste or style. I have already bought the 2in1 dress, and I think the sun-dress is next on my hit list!

What fabric or patterns are your favourite? Or are you more into the colour blocking trend that's around at the moment? Let me know!

Until next time...

Thanks to Hawksmont for the heart brushes!

Style Inspiration: June

Hello all! It's my favourite time of the month again, where I round up all our gorgeous customers wearing our clothes and looking fab! Who's your favourite? Remember to let me know in the comments, or via twitter or facebook. And if you'd like to be featured next month, send me your photos and you could be featured here on the blog!

Here is Carmen who's a big fan of Yours, and she looks so sweet and sparkly in our hugely popular babydoll top and sparkly shrug!

And here she is again, this time in a competition win from us - doesn't she look great in our aqua ruffle tunic?

Claire from A Monkey Fatshionista has chosen 30 items to remix from her wardrobe this month, and luckily our floral prom dress is among them! Here she pairs it with a cardigan to keep warm...

While here she lets her arms go free in the summer heat!

Laura is another fan of Yours and I love her preppy cute style on her blog! Here she's dressed down with our peacock t-shirt and jeggings...

And looks ready to party in our floral tunic and leggings!

Lorraine always looks really cute, and our oatmeal shrug helped her keep cool on holiday.

Nadia always looks fabulous in our outfits, and this multi-coloured animal print shirt could have been made for her!

Now what a coincidence this is: Naomi of Diamonds & Pearls goes for a night out in the same outfit as Carmen! I think they both look absolutely fantastic. Great choice, ladies!

Natalie has such a wonderfully individual style, and I love this outfit featuring our sequinned cover up. Brilliant look!

The gorgeous Sam poses with our really popular 2in1 dress and leggings - love the location!

And here is Sam again, this time she's cleverly belted our spring detail maxi dress for something a little more glamorous and fitted. Doesn't she look stunning?

And last but certainly not least, here is Steph wearing our gorgeous hot pink maxi. Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for the current sunshine.

Thanks so much ladies for your brilliant photos, I can't wait to see even more of them next month! Stay tuned...

My Style, Yours Style ;)

Hey guys! You know as soon as I saw this mini dress on the site I knew I had to own it! When it arrived, I tried it on and I've hardly taken it off since, I love it so much! I love the retro feel with the polka dots, and I thought of a great way to dress it up for summer...

I teamed it with some red accessories and lipstick to make it even more eye-catching and cute, and added leggings. As I'm fairly short, I'm lucky enough to wear opaque tights in future, too! I sized up on this dress as I know it's quite close fitting in the skirt, and it's a perfect fit!

Hope you like the outfit - remember I'm always looking to showcase your outfit photos on our Style Inspiration posts, you can submit photos of yourself wearing Yours Clothing via facebook, twitter, or email. I can't wait to hear from you!

Lots of love,

Lauren xx

Yours Clothing bumper Press round up!

May, June and July have been great months for Yours when it comes to the press - they just can't seem to get enough!

Bella thought our animal dip dress (now only £15!) was the perfect way to get Dannii Minogue's look!

And they love our ring selection: especially our gold and black beaded options.

Best magazine loved our surfer girl style tankini duo, £30 for the set.

They were also super impressed with our 2 for £20 t-shirt deal, which includes our beautiful butterfly tees!

Essentials are a huge fan of our beautiful floral tiered maxi dress - clearly they have fabulous taste!

My weekly think our bow belt (coming soon) is a perfect addition to a bright outfit.

Pride magazine loved our cropped denim shirt (coming soon)

Prima is a huge fan of our swimwear, first they shot our halter swimsuit on a model...

Then featured our pretty print suit as well!

That's Life magazine thought our stripe tunic and maxi skirt (both coming soon) were perfect for a nautical themed outfit!

Another fan of the cropped denim shirt - this time it's Weight Watchers magazine. We can't wait to stock it!

Our white trousers are popular with the journalists at Woman & Home magazine, as it's a great way to introduce colour to your wardrobe.

Woman & Home also loved our monochrome tankini set.

Thanks all, it's always exciting to see us featured in magazines. Here's to even more coverage!

Many thanks to coydreamer for the arrow brushes.

Celebrity Look: Glamour Awards Red Carpet

Hey everyone! Recently Glamour magazine held their Women of the Year awards, which was always going to have some amazing outfits on the red carpet. And this year there's an extra special treat - us plus size ladies can grab some similar looks from Yours! Here's how to steal the styles of Brit starlets Alexandra Burke, Caroline Flack and Katherine Jenkins...

Alexandra Burke - floaty & feminine

Caroline Flack - tomboy glam

Katherine Jenkins - minimalist chic

I'm in love with all of these looks, though my favourite is definitely Caroline's - she's always so cool! Which one is your favourite?

Ask Lauren: Tum Friendly Dresses!

Hey guys! Every now and again I get a question from one of you regarding fashion advice. While I'm not a professional stylist a la Gok Wan or Trinny & Susannah, I'll still help when I can! Recently I received this on twitter:

I'm also someone with a large belly, so I understand how you feel! Personally, the kind of dresses I gravitate towards are ones with an empire line shape - they are fitted at the bust, and the waist is higher up on the body. This means the fabric flows over your tummy meaning you can go about your day knowing you look great without feeling self-conscious!

Luckily, Yours have some lovely dresses that have this precise shape, so I've picked out my favourites...

This beautiful floral maxi is available in a myriad of colours and florals, and all with the beautiful empire cut that is so flattering for us belly-heavy ladies! My favourite is this purple version.

For an empire style dress with sleeves, our gaga dresses are perfect. And most of you agree, as most colour options are all but sold out completely! The waist is defined under the bust, and the skirt is gathered under the waist and at the hips, giving more coverage to larger tummies.

Our black babydoll has been an incredible success and it's easy to see why - it's completely glamorous and 100% flattering. The skirt flares out from straight under the bust, meaning you'll never have to worry about showing the outline of your belly. For you taller ladies, it may be best to team with leggings if you're wary of showing too much leg.

Another babydoll dress, this one is definitely more of a summer daytime feel. I have actually tried this on myself, and it looks stunning. If you're short, then this is great to wear as a dress with bare legs or sheer tights!

What do you think of my picks? I'd love to hear from you! You can comment, tweet or facebook me. Speak to you soon!

Celebrity Look: Debbie Harry

Hey guys, how are we all? Finally, the sun has come out to play again!

A little continuation of Sunday's festival themed fashion post, here's a look from punk icon Debbie Harry from 2007, courtesy of Look. I always find Look magazine a great source of inspiration for my Celebrity Looks series. Today I was browsing their fab festival stage outfits post, and when I saw Debbie Harry's outfit I knew I had to recreate it in Yours for us plus size ladies!

Have a look and see what you think...

I love this look because it's so versatile and wearable, even for those of us who may not have the rock'n'roll swagger of Debbie Harry. You could even wear it down the supermarket if you wanted - safe in the knowledge that you're as cool as everyone's No 1 rock chick!

Hope you like this week's celeb look - next week I'm picking outfits similar to those worn on the red carpet at this year's Glamour awards!

Until next time...

Lauren's Fashion Fixer: Summer Festivals

Hey everyone, hope you're all very well!

Everyone and their aunt has been talking about how best to dress for this year's festivals - most opt for playsuits and maxi dresses, which is okay if you're in the VIP area at Glastonbury but maybe not so practical for the rest of us!

Here are three Yours Clothing looks that are chic and practical - though I've taken the liberty of assuming the sun will actually come out...

On trend 70's

Clockwise from top left: Shoes, Kurt Geiger; Blue floral wide leg trousers, £22; Ivory embroidered smock top, £25; Floppy felt hat, ASOS; Floral satchel, £20; Wooden necklace, £10; Tortoiseshell wayfarers, £6

Kitsch & Cute
Clockwise from top left: Heart buckle belt, £10; Polka dot 2in1 tunic, £35; Turquoise wooden bead necklace, £6; Fabric flower ring, £5; Tummy control leggings, £12; Wellies, Hunter; Diana Flash camera, Lomo; White chiffon shrug, £12

Tribal Rock

I love all these looks, especially the first because it's SO on trend. Look 2 is definitely the most similar to my own style... so it's not a shock when I tell you I've bought it myself already!

Hope you like these looks, ladies. Let me know what you think! Which festivals are you attending this year? Let me know in the comments, or on twitter or facebook. Hope to hear from you soon!

Lots of love,

Our Limited Collection has some fantastic, uber trendy items this summer which are perfect for those of you who want to head out on the dance floor!

Coral is a key colour this season and it looks fab with a tan (real or bottled) - I've picked three plus size clubbing outfits that are definitely not for the faint hearted!

Look 1: Colour Block
Clockwise from top left: Purple shrug, £5; Blue corsage, £4; Limited Collection 2in1 coral mini dress, £35; Purple bracelets, £8; Shoes, Brian Atwood; Hot pink clutch purse, £8

Look 3: Ms Classy
Clockwise from left: Limited Collection coral one shoulder corsage mini-dress, £35; Gold drop earrings, £6; Shoes, Schuh; Gold studded clutch, £5; Gold statement necklace, £; Gold swirl stretch ring, £5; Black leopard print tights, £8

What do you think peeps? I've gone for the very trendiest and most body-conscious, however I know a lot of you will want a little more coverage. You can always swap the tights for leggings and add a cover up if you prefer.

And if you feel the need to smooth some lumps and bumps, there's always our shapewear range that can help you feel even more confident!

My Style, Yours Style ;)

Hello all, hope you're having a fabulous Friday!

I know you love to see "real women" (i.e. non models or actresses, although I think most of them are real, too!) on this site, and as I wear anything from a 20-24 I figured I'd show off my Yours Clothing items! Here is today's outfit...

In this I'm wearing the Yours leopard print peter-pan collar tunic and tummy tuck leggings, paired with cutesy accessories.

I fell in love with the tunic as soon as I saw it on site, since peter-pan collars were so trendy and no other plus size store had them at the time! The leggings are so comfortable, as well. I always size down to a 16 or 18 for leggings because you need such a close fit, and for the tunic I ordered a 22-24 as I knew it came up slightly small.

This outfit has been worn so many times over the past few months as it's so comfortable and cute! The tunic is now in our mega sale, so it's even more of a bargain than previously!

Hope you enjoyed the outfit, and remember you can also get featured in our style inspiration posts at the end of each month - just send me your outfit photos like this one via twitter or facebook, it's so simple!
